When it comes to sustainable fashion, would you rather follow the pack or take the lead? Part of the Design for Tomorrow series hosted by TFIA and Kangan Institute at their Textile & Fashion Hub in Richmond, Leaders of the Pack is an event specially designed to explore the sustainability issues facing our textile industry – and it’s happening this Tuesday, June 24 at 4.30pm. Independent brands, wholesale producers and budding student designers alike will be privy to world-class information and practical advice on everything from getting your supply chain certified, to tracking-down sustainable materials and ensuring business transparency. A stellar line-up of experts will be presenting and answering questions on the day, including Wendy Savage (Patagonia), Christian Dreszig (Bluesign), Kate Sala (Honest by.), Mele-Ane Havea (B Corp), Stu Bowen (1% for the Planet) and Graham Dickson (textile technologist and environmental consultant). Tickets are on sale now, or if you’re feeling lucky, why not enter our competition for a chance to win a double pass to the event in Melbourne or one of four webinar passes so you can join in from anywhere in the world! Head to the Peppermint Facebook page for details on how you can enter. {Competition closes Monday 23 June 2014 at 4pm}.
