Style Swap Sunday

Attention, Brisbane-based fashionistas and fabric fans! As part of QAGOMA‘s fabulous upcoming fashion exhibition, Future Beauty, the gallery is hosting an exciting series of Future Fashion Sundays: one Sunday a month for the duration of the exhibition, which runs from 1 November to 15 February, there’ll be all kinds of workshops, talks and special events on offer.

Starting things off in style this Sunday 2 November at 12 noon is a Fabric & Garment Swap on GOMA’s Bodhi Tree Terrace. As well as grabbing yourself some great new garments, you can pass on some pre-loved pieces of your own and encourage sustainable consumption and recycling. You can swap up to five garments that are high quality and in good repair, and you can bring along fabric pieces of a decent size that are also in good condition. Tokens will be issued for garments and fabrics, and you won’t have any unclaimed pieces returned to you – anything left after 15 February will be donated to charity.

The event is free, but registration is essential! Get the full details here – first in, best dressed!
