Penchant for the swinging 60s? Don’t we all! The Queensland Museum’s Bespoke showcase are taking us back in time on August 24 for a 60s-themed celebration of design, music and vintage fashion. Reverse Garbage designers Brooke Nelson and Bill Ennals, along with artists including Al James, will fill the Collector’s Cafe with handmade furniture and artistic assemblages made from recycled materials and waste items – salvaged right here from Brisbane’s backyard. Opening night will also feature a very special work by designer Richard Park (Blok Furniture), created using Florence Broadhust fabric. It can’t get much more 60s than that!
