Sustainable Smalls

This month, Stella McCartney’s lower price, eco-friendly lingerie line will be rolling out into American chain stores Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom and Barneys New York. For those of us here in Australia, we will be able to buy the collection online at Net-A-Porter. The cute-as-can-be lingerie combos are made of French Calais lace and silk, organic cotton and recycled metal hardware. This isn’t the first time the sustainable designer has forayed into undergarments. In 2008, she created a bra and panty combo called ‘Daisy Dreaming’ as part of her then luxurious lingerie lineup. Stella McCartney is one of the true ‘green girls’, pioneering the use of organic materials and sustainable practices in high-end fashion. Good to know even our sexy smalls can be sustainable!
