Today and everyday, give of your time, your self, your heart and your soul. Give to loved ones, give to strangers. Give to those who are not as privileged, those needing a helping hand, those not rich with sustenance nor safety. Give thanks and gratitude.

Much love to you all today, our beautiful friends. 🫶🏼

A knitted tree! 🎄 We could not love this more. Did you catch our story in the latest issue about intergenerational skill sharing and connection? This story from Edinburgh warms the cockles of our craft-loving hearts.

From @bbcscotnews:

“It’s become a social occasion for people, but also a chance to be part of something bigger.”

“A community group in Edinburgh has unveiled a 16ft knitted Christmas Tree aimed at bringing different generations together.

The Heart of Newhaven hope to tackle loneliness and isolation in people of all ages through shared activity.

Volunteers have been meeting on a weekly basis to knit squares and decorations for the tree.

Tap the link in the @bbcscotnews bio to read more about the community’s hope for an intergenerational hub.”

Shame must change sides 🙌🏼

Gisele - we salute you. Person of the Year in our eyes (and hearts).

Powerful words and art (hand-stitched on a photo) by @VillanaArt:

“The case of Gisele Pelicot moved me to my core, to see how dark and disturbing it was, yet again bringing to light the violence women face around the world, that women aren’t safe even with their families, even at their home. The case just showed to us the level of misogyny that still exists in our society.

Gisele, I honour your dignity and courage. Everyone is left with no doubt as to who should be ashamed, and is certainly not you, or all of us who have suffered sexual abuse. We shall replace the feelings of shame with dignity and strength to transmute the pain and humiliation into a global sword of justice for all the victims of sexual abuse who were not able to speak up or who were not believed or who were too young to understand.

When people question if feminism is still needed:

1 in 3 women worldwide will suffer a form of sexual violence in their lifetime. This needs to stop. We all came from a woman, time to heal our women. I hope Gisele can find healing.”

Howwww is it this time already?!

Well friends, the Peppermint team is switching off for the year and having a well-earned break until January 8th. Emails and messages will be checked intermittently for any urgent issues, but otherwise we may be sewing, swimming, sleeping or sipping soy lattes (or sangria) – hopefully all in that order. 🪡🏊️🛌🏻☕️🍸️

Happy holidays – see y'all in January!

You do you: permission granted!

Wonderful words from the ever-fabulous @PlantKween:

“You are allowed to redefine and reimagine what holiday traditions look like in your life.”

“The holidays can bring a swirl of emotions—joy, nostalgia, grief, even overwhelm. For some, it’s a time of love and connection. For others, it’s a reminder of what’s changed, of who or what is missing. No matter where you are in that emotional spectrum, you have the power to decide what this season looks like for you. You’re not tied to old traditions that no longer fit, and you’re not obligated to follow a script that doesn’t bring you peace. The holidays are yours to shape.

Maybe this year is about creating new traditions—small, meaningful rituals that honor where you are now. It could be finding quiet moments for yourself, surrounding yourself with people who make you feel whole, or starting something fresh that brings joy to your heart. Maybe it’s choosing simplicity instead of obligation or skipping celebrations altogether to focus on healing. It’s your season, and it’s okay to make it what you need it to be.

So, as the holidays unfold, give yourself permission to let go of expectations—yours, theirs, or society’s—and lean into what feels good and true for you. Whether that means holding onto pieces of the past, creating something entirely new, or simply taking it day by day, you have the agency to decide. This is your life, your story, your holiday. Do what feels right for your heart. You deserve that kind of peace.” 😘
