Following on from National Reconciliation Week, we already have another celebration of Australian Indigenous culture to look forward to. Sustainable Table have announced they are hosting a Twisted Tucker event to introduce a whole palate of local, native flavours to a wider audience. Held on June 23 at Melbourne’s CERES, the event centres around a traditional Sunday Roast with a truly Australian twist and offers local Indigenous spices, fruits, vegetables and meats prepared by Chef Kieran Kilmartin. As well as enjoying the wonderful flavours, guests will also learn about the environmental advantages of growing and eating native produce. In fact, the day actually kicks off with a hands-on native garden tour and talk. Wild spices, succulent wallaby and native greens will feature on the menu, so get in quick and book your tickets for this hearty homegrown feast!
