Fashion Lights the Way

Candles

It’s easy to wax lyrical about the flurry of fabulous frocks, stylish soirees and exciting events that make up fashion week in Melbourne, but when the last sequin has been swept from the runway, all an exhausted fashionista wants to do is flop onto the sofa and relax. But even if you’re in the daggiest pjs and slippers never to grace the catwalk, you can add an element of glamour to couch-time thanks to these divinely scented candles. A collaboration between Melbourne-based potter, Tufts, with illustrations by Estelle Michaelides, designer of Micky In The Van, each porcelain vessel is handmade and showcases Estelle’s delightful fashion illustrations – the perfect container for jewellery once the candle has burnt down. The 100% soy wax with fragrant oils is poured in by Estelle’s mum, so it’s truly a team effort from this talented trio. If you want to invest in some scented style, head over here – and make it quick, because until September 5, Estelle is donating 20% from all sales to CARE Australia’s South Sudan Emergency Appeal.
