Antarctica is one of those incredible, mysterious places that sits high on top of the bucket lists of many a curious wanderer. What’s it like on the frozen continent? Imagine the wildlife, the scenery! Imagine travelling there with a National Geographic photographer and spending two weeks living on a research station helping to spread the word about one of the most special, fragile places on earth. Now stop imagining, and get writing! Air New Zealand are about to make this happen for one lucky environmental enthusiast. Antarctica: No Ordinary Place, No Ordinary Assignment will see the winner travel to New Zealand to meet photographer Jason Edwards, before they fly together to Antarctica for a fortnight stay at New Zealand’s Scott Base research support station. You’ll need good communication skills to be able to blog and tweet on the go, a desire for adventure and a passion for the environment. If this sounds like you, head here for details on how to apply. But get in quick – submissions close November 7!
