There is no shortage of exhibitions in Sydney over summer, with the latest paying tribute to legendary eye surgeon Fred Hollows. The Global Vision Exhibition, showing at Customs House, features rare images of Fred’s early work with communities in outback Australia. Thanks to Fred’s legacy, nearly one million people globally have had their sight restored in the last five years alone. To this day, the Fred Hollows Foundation focuses on treating and preventing blindness and other sight problems across Australia and around the world. The exhibition runs until 17 January, so get in quick and help celebrate the life of an extraordinary Australian.
