Positive Posters

Do you think posters and politics go hand in hand? If so, you might already be a fan of Aussie-based not for profit Positive Posters, a community of designers who aim to raise international awareness of global social issues. If you are Melbourne based, you have the chance to get up close and personal with the designs at the fourth annual Thirty Exhibition, celebrating the finalists of this year’s competition. The event is being held on Thursday, 15 November and for those keen to head along, you can RSVP via Facebook. For those of us in the rest of Australia, you can check out the extensive poster gallery on the Positive Posters’ website, which address issues as diverse as gay marriage and animal rights. Good to see examples of thinking design!
