Cubby House by Gunn Dyring

Tackling the issue of youth homelessness with a very innovative project, the Kids Under Cover 2013 Cubby House Challenge is now on! Raising money to benefit Australia’s 45,000 homeless young people, the project officially kicks off tomorrow and will see five leading architects take up the challenge to design and build their most creative cubby. If these entries are anything to go by – designs by Gunn Dyring and Positive Footprints, both using eco-friendly timbers and timber yard cut-offs – the competition sure will take your humble cubby up a notch. If you can see someone little (or big!) you know whiling away their summer days in one of these, then head along to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show on March 24 for the live cubby auction, or place a bid online.
