It’s up to you, NY, NY…

Eco-couturier and friend of Peppermint Rachael Cassar is going to New York! At least she will be if she can raise the funds. Thanks to her talent and passion for creating couture fashion from recycled materials, Cassar is one of only seven emerging designers worldwide who has been chosen by New York Fashion Week to show her collection on the catwalk this September. However, true to the nature of an emerging designer, Cassar’s funds don’t match her talents, which is why she’d love your support her mission to get to the Big Apple. Cassar is holding a fundraiser on July 9th at Balmain Road Antiques Centre (Syd) where, for $25, you will be able to browse through 50 shops full of collectables, curios, vintage and antique furniture, decorative arts and more! And as if that isn’t tempting enough, there will be nibbles, entertainment and drinks, and discounted goods will be on offer for fundraiser guests. If you can’t make it there, buy a ticket anyway to show your support and be in the draw to win some yummy port courtesy of Kalleske wines in the Barossa Valley!
