Get Your Sew On: It’s The Peppermint Me Made Makes Competition!

Well stitchy pals, it’s that time again! Me Made May has rolled around and we don’t know about you, but we are chomping at the bit to celebrate our me-made makes All. Month. Long!
This 31 day celebration isn’t all about sewing new garments, it’s also about showcasing the items in your wardrobe which you have proudly turned from 2D pieces of fabric into 3D garments that reflect your authentic personality and style. In saying that, for us at least it’s also a time of inspiration as we see more fabrics and patterns popping up on our feed and that really gets our creative juices flowing!
So if you’re high on sewjo, we’d love you to accept our invitation to participate in our Me Made Makes competition. Whether you have a Peppermint pattern sitting in your to-sew stash, a tried and true fave that you could do with another version of or perhaps you’re feeling inspired to sew something new (Viola Quilted Jacket, anyone?), the Peppermint website has a plethora of pay-what-you-can patterns for you to pick. Best of all, there are patterns which are accessible to all skill levels so if you’re just dipping your toe into the world of sewing, know that we got you boo!
The challenge will run from 1st – 31st May and the lucky five winners will be drawn at the beginning of June, each receiving a prize pack. Your entry must be on a post that has been posted in May 2025.

In case no-one has told you lately, Emma Giacalone says you`re a good egg. (And we happen to agree).
This incredible mini egg embroidered 3D artwork was created by @Emma_Giacalone_Textiles, a textile artist in Gloucestershire, UK.
"When we buy an item of clothing, a label is attached telling us how to look after it to keep it at its very best. My mission is to create little care instructions to help to remind us to lead our happiest life."
INGREDIENTS: Freehand machine embroidered onto 100% cotton, using Egyptian cotton thread, and wool felt backing.
