GIVEAWAY! If you’re in Canberra on Saturday 11th November, do we have a treat for you! As part of the Design Canberra Arts Festival, sustainable clothing label Pure Pod has put together Fashionably Numb – an ethical fashion event that includes the perfect pre-Christmas twilight markets from 2pm (with food, drink and fabulous sustainable makers galore!), plus a ticketed panel event that unites leading lights from across the ethical fashion industry. Led by Melinda Tually of Fashion Revolution Aus & NZ, the panel will put fast fashion under the microscope – giving consumers the chance to hear the inside story of the issues behind the industry, before sharing their ideas for a lasting solution. If that gets you going, you might just be in luck, as we have two double passes to the panel event to give away! Tickets include a meet-and-greet with local designers, a gift on arrival and a copy of Peppermint, plus all guests have the chance to grab delicious food and drink before sitting down to hear wisdom from panellists including Eco Warrior Princess’ Jennifer Nini, Bison ceramic and textile designer Brian Tunks, Moonbird designer and founder Rachel Pines, and Pure Pod designer and founder Kelli Donovan. To enter, simply send your details before 4pm on Friday 3 Nov to yesplease@peppermintmag.com, with the subject line ‘Fashionably Numb’. Good luck!
