‘Telling the stories of people doing good in the world’ is our motto here at Peppermint, so it’s only fitting that we wholeheartedly support the Banksia Sustainability Awards. Created 29 years ago, the Sydney awards seek out, recognise and celebrate leadership along with innovation across all sectors of sustainability. This year many Peppermint favourites are up for a coveted accolade, including Stone and Wood Brewery, community-minded, B-Corp certified, handcrafted beer from Northern NSW; Lush Cosmetics, for their tireless work standing up for animal welfare, environmental protection and human rights; Tiny Trowel, who supply fresh fruit and veggies to food relief providers and empower people to develop sustainable approaches using permaculture principal; and top of everyone’s must-see TV viewing, the ABC’s War On Waste. Want to hear all the inspiring finalists share their visions? We have two tickets to giveaway to the Finalists Insights talks on Wednesday 1st November 9am – 2.40pm at EY Office, 200 George St, Sydney. Email us at yesplease@peppermintmag.com with the subject ‘Banksia’ to go in the draw. Raise a glass to all the finalists – best of luck!
