Smart thinking and ethical leadership might be their own reward, but it’s still important to give a nod to those in the business world who use their profits and power for good. This year marks the beginning of a new chapter for Moral Fairground and Australian Ethical, who have partnered up to launch the inaugural Ethical Enterprise Award. Businesses and organisations of all shapes and sizes – corporations and not-for-profits alike – are eligible for consideration, with determining criteria based on the company’s positive social and economic effects on their environment and community through ethical business practice. The first of its kind in Australia, the Award will announce its shortlist during October, with the recipient commended at this year’s Fair@Square event in Melbourne in November.
