When it comes to secondhand style, Faye De Lanty is the woman of the moment – making a name for herself with her blog Fashion Hound and regular appearances on Channel 9 showcasing on-trend looks that are kind to both our purses and the planet. Her recent Eat, Drink, Thrift event at Brisbane’s BMW showroom featured ‘Prizes, Puppies and Planet Saving Style’, with adorable guide dogs wandering down the catwalk beside models rocking thrift store looks – as well as the cream of the opshop crop in the form of a pop-up Savlos store bursting with fabulous finds (think vintage pieces as well as items from brands like Gorman, Veronika Maine, Carla Zampatti and more). Three cheers for a fantastic evening that helped encourage the crowd to fall in love with opshopping and confirmed that secondhand style is here to stay!
