Wearable tech, 3D printed jewellery and fabric made from recycled materials – these are just some of the innovations we’ve seen in the fashion and textiles space in recent years. But what does the future of fashion hold? And what does this mean in terms of sustainability? These are the questions being explored at this year’s SOURCE Summit – an annual event run by SOURCE, the global platform for sustainable fashion developed by the Ethical Fashion Forum, taking place on 10 June in London. This year’s line-up features a number of speakers on the topics of fashion, technology and sustainability, including Global Manager of Social Innovation at eBay Caitlin Bristol, London College of Design’s Centre for Sustainable Fashion Manager Renee Cuoco, and Wool and the Gang Co-founder Jade Harwood. With an emphasis on “disruptive technologies which will transform fashion retail, boost craft, create better market access, improve worker engagement, increase resource efficiency and make inspired design possible”  – combined with the organisers’ vision of uniting business leaders and fashion pioneers across the world – there’s sure to be exciting ideas and insights that’ll help brands and designers harness the powers of technology to achieve a cleaner, safer fashion future for all.
