Yearn to Learn

Feel inspired to learn something new? Yearn to Learn is Melbourne’s latest offering for quirky, hands-on workshops. Their pre-Christmas program includes classes on upcycled origami, print making and handmade clay jewellery that’ll give you the opportunity to stretch your brain, learn something different and get your hands dirty! Founder and Director Mandy Ross says, ‘I wanted to start something to support the local artisan community – giving creatives paid teaching work, while letting them share their passion with others. We want people to come and tinker, play, create, yap, indulge, share and connect – while making new friends at the same time!’

Yearn to Learn also support the work of locally-based, global NGO The Thin Green Line Foundation by donating a percentage of every ticket sold. Their classes take place in the evenings and are just a stone’s throw from Melbourne CBD in Southbank. And best of all? Each Yearn to Learn class is only $16-$25 per person, making it a great (and affordable) option for some crafty evening fun. Book into one of their November or December classes by next Friday 7th November and go in the draw to win two tickets to the fabulous ‘The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier’ exhibition currently running at The National Gallery of Victoria!
