The New Artisans

Imagine for a moment dropping all your responsibilities right now, walking outside into a sunny courtyard with a cup of green tea, some sort of muffin (I’m going to go with… blueberry?) and one of the most inspiring new books of the season. We’re talking about Olivier Dupon’s The New Artisans: a beautifully designed and divinely photographed celebration of the magic of handcrafting, profiling over 70 artisans who use craft techniques to create their own special brand of stylish whimsy… It’s our new bible. I want to live in its pages. And without the help of Can Do Books, a specialist Melbournian bookstore who have been supplying the best in craft, design, photography, gardening and DIY titles for over 20 years, we may not have even known about this book – and we certainly wouldn’t have THREE COPIES to give away to you lucky folk!

It’s going to be a fight to pry them from our grip, but if you’d like to win yourself a brand new copy (and trust us, you do) simply comment below and let us know what’s inspiring you the most at the moment. We know what our answer would be. (Hint: it’s this book). Entries close next Thursday, September 29 at 5pm – and while you’re waiting, make sure to check out Can Do Books’ website and Facebook page where you can find out about the store’s special craft programs and social meet ups. Who knows, your work might even end up in a book as lovely as this…
