If you are based on Australia’s West Coast, here is one exhibition you won’t want to miss! A Child is Born is a Christmas themed art exhibition which celebrates the importance of childhood, featuring artwork from some of WA’s most prominent artists. Two special activities are also taking place around the exhibition and include a performance by singer-songwriter Gina Williams and a singing workshop to learn the language of the Noongar Country. Most importantly, all proceeds of the exhibition and activities go to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, an initiative of the Australian Book Industry, aimed at helping raise the literacy rates and improve the lives and opportunities for Indigenous children living in remote and isolated regions of Australia.
