International Green Awards

The International Green Awards were handed out at an iconic ceremony in London last week and some of Australia’s own initiatives were recognised at the event! Focus Press, a Sydney-based printing company leading the world in environmental management, came away as the Bronze winner in the Most Sustainable Medium Business category. The City of Sydney Council cleaned up as a Silver winner in the Most Sustainable Government category but the golden gong went to Bentleigh Secondary College in Victoria for Most Sustainable Education Institution, beating both York and Washington Universities for the coveted prize. The International Green Awards have been running since 2006 and describes itself as the global platform for sustainability, leadership and innovation. A bit like the Oscars for Greenies!
