Life of Luxury

Luxe Project

Proving that some of the most luxurious heritage fabrics often start life as utilitarian textiles, The Luxe Project takes baby carriers and ceremonial garments created by hill tribe communities in South-East Asia and transforms them into bags, homewares and artworks. Mother/daughter team Chutisa and Sharidan Bowman are the brains behind the business, searching out beautiful vintage hand-embroidery and batik to be reborn into new objects. Luxe Project accessories are designed in Melbourne and assembled by skilled artisans in Thailand, ensuring the same quality workmanship and skills that first produced these textiles are passed down to generations to come.
