Many of us are already familiar (and enamoured!) with the designs of fair trade, ethical Australian label Roopa Pemmaraju. The good news is that Roopa has recently launched an online store, making her designs even more accessible to ethical fashionistas around Australia. Pieces from the luxury label are already stocked in David Jones stores, but this is the first time they will be available to online shoppers. Some of the summer pieces we love include the Spirit Snake Jimmy Pike Gown, the Orange Vaughan Springs Dreaming Coat and the Bush Onion Shift Dress. What makes the designs uniquely Australian are the splashes of original artworks from Australian Indigenous designers. The pieces themselves are made by skilled artisans in Bangalore, who are trained in hand weaving and environmentally-friendly print blocking. Get shopping this summer and wrap yourself up in Roopa!
