Pom Pom Party

The Australian Country Spinners – the home of some of Australia’s best yarns – are celebrating the 90 year anniversary of their Wangaratta wool mill. They’re pom-pomming their way into the Guinness Book of World Records by creating the world’s longest pom pom garland. And they need your help to do it! Create a pom pom or two in any yarn, colour and size and send it to the Spinners by August 25. You can visit their Facebook page for a step-by-step tutorial on pom pom making, or crack out your copy of Peppermint Issue 14 and re-visit our recycled t-shirt pom pom tutorial. For your efforts, you’ll be in with a chance to win books and yarns from the latest Country Spinners range. The final garland will be showcased at the mill on August 31 before being auctioned off to raise money for local charity. Scissors at the ready – get pom pomming!
