Chalk It Up

The Schoolbag have been assisting disadvantaged children in Haiti since 2010, providing basic school supplies to kick-start their educations. What better way to raise some money for the project than by dabbling in a little schoolyard-style activity of our own! On Sunday September 30, The Schoolbag’s Brisbane-based volunteers are inviting us to help break the world record for the largest display of chalk pavement art in the world. Anyone can get involved – just visit the Southbank creative precinct (right outside GoMA and the State Library) between 9am and 4pm, purchase your own Schoolbag filled with supplies for the day, and let your chalk doodles run free! Procedes raised will go towards the team’s upcoming trip to Timor-Leste (hang tight for our next issue to read more about it!). Register here or just pop down on the day – easy peasy!
