The Stitch Up – A Few of Our Favourite June Makes Spotted in the Wild

Without our lovely makers, what even are Peppermint patterns? Just some lonely PDFs and an empty hashtag. You splendiferous seamstresses are the needle to our thread, the whip to our stitch, and seeing your me-made makes puts a pep in our step and smile on our dial, every, damn time!

So, in order to shine a spotlight on the brilliant Peppermint sewists out there, we’ve started this little monthly roundup to feature some of our favourite Peppermint patterns we’ve spotted in the wild. If you want to show off your sensational sewing, be sure to tag us in your makes and you might see yourself in The Stitch Up in months to come!

CRACKIN’ CO-ORDS

It’s rad how easy sewing makes a matchy-match moment in your own sweet coordinating set! @Southern_Mims’s cleverly crafted her Peppermint Pocket Skirt and self-drafted top from leftover cotton linen, and @_HeatherMade shows off a stunning black and white Peppermint Albion Blouse with matching rectangle skirt.

GREAT GINGHAM

We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: We Love Gingham! Check out the checkered chic of @Spaghetti_Western_Sewing’s boot-scooting Peppermint Spring Shorts. And @ChrisInSeams deserves special credit for making her dapper duds out of TWO Peppermint patterns – hacking the Peppermint Bardon Dress bodice and Peppermint Loungewear Pants into a tank and shorts set!

REDUCE, REUSE, UPCYCLE

Here at Peppermint, we’re big fans of sustainable sewing so we love to see people use our patterns to upcycle old clothes and op-shops finds. @BriannaJRichards turned a vintage skirt into a swinging skort with the help of the Peppermint Skye Shorts pattern, while @By_Emily_Christine upcycled her dad’s old pants into a green jean dream with the Peppermint Wide Leg Pants pattern

CAN’T TOP THIS

A breezy floral blouse never goes amiss. @EmSewHappy’s botanical Peppermint Albion Blouse makes us sew, sew happy and @Sew_Crafty_So_Stylin’s Ruffle-Sleeve Top is a refreshing citrusy time for when life gives you lemons!
