We love seeing Australian eco fashion pioneers doing big things overseas – and better still when it’s a fellow Queenslander in the limelight! Emily Kate Symes and her online blog and boutique EKOLUV has just been announced as one of three award finalists for the 2013 Source Awards hosted by The Ethical Fashion Forum. Rewarding businesses and individuals who are leading the way in ethical fashion, ECOLUV was selected from entries from over 140 countries – quite an achievement for a website that’s only been up and running for just under 12 months! Past winners of the Source Award (which will be announced this year on December 3) include ASOS, Vivienne Westwood and Nudie Jeans Co. All the best Emily Kate – let’s hope the judges show you some well-deserved love!
