If you loved the work of Gemma Anastasiou, here’s another new designer utilising the beauty of pressed flowers for her stunning graduate collection. A Womenswear student from the prestigious Central Saint Martins school in London, Jennie Hah developed a collection of six looks made entirely of biodegradable materials including Kraft paper fabric, bio resin and dried flowers. “I encased various pressed flower arrangements between two sheets of Korean traditional paper,” Jennie says. “The result is quite interesting as the paper becomes almost completely transparent, revealing the flowers inside to show through.” The collection showcases a new way to use natural materials, she says. “I wanted to deliver the dramatic imagery in a sustainable way – minimising offcuts by puzzle-like pattern cutting and using biodegradable materials.”
