Everyone needs a classic wrap skirt – it’s the ultimate wardrobe staple (and is perfect for being the right size even when your measurements changes). The Peppermint Wrap Skirt pattern was created for us by In The Folds. We used mustard linen from The Fabric Store for our version.

We’re super excited to bring you this pattern in partnership with the lovely people at The Fabric Store. With a passion for all things sewing, they stock an incredible range of fabrics – think quality linen, silk, cotton, merino and even leather – at their Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and New Zealand stores, as well as a small selection online.

I’m not the first to rave about the Peppermint Wrap Skirt pattern, and I certainly won’t be the last. It’s a great one for beginners, doesn’t require an overlocker, and gives a great fit for all shapes.

I’ve had the Peppermint Wrap Skirt downloaded for aaaages and on the weekend I finally got around to making it. It’s no secret that I’m a fan of a good wrap skirt, and this one’s no exception.

It feels a lot less basic than many other wrap skirt patterns, with the darts providing shaping for more structured fabrics to work too. I’ve used a cotton seersucker here which I’ve been hoarding for AGES; back when @selfmade_com was Stof and Stil. It’s quite a ‘crispy’ seersucker but the darts give it the shape and I’m really pleased with the result. I think this skirt will be great for winter through to summer so it is going to be a well worn part of my wardrobe.
