Red Carpet, Green Dress

If you’re an aspiring eco designer, the Red Carpet Green Dress Challenge is one competition you won’t want to miss! This international contest has been developed by Suzy Amis Cameron, environmental advocate and wife of Hollywood director James Cameron. It seeks out the most stylish ‘Oscar worthy’ dress made from organic, sustainable or recycled materials and gives one lucky designer the chance to have their gown worn by a celebrity on the Oscars’ Red Carpet. The winning designer is also mentored by an established fashion brand to get their dress red carpet ready. Most recently, actress Missi Pyle – who starred in the award winning ‘The Artist’ (and pictured above left) – wore the winning design to the 2012 Academy Awards. Entries close on November 5 and all the details can be found at the Red Carpet Green Dress website.
