Waratah Wrap Dress

If there’s one garment we think every wardrobe should house, it’s a classic wrap dress… But all wrap dresses are not created equal!

Big news, friends. We have an exciting new pattern for you, and this one has been under wraps for a LONG time! A fabulous pattern called for a fabulous team of testers so we assembled some of the best to sew their own version and model for us. Thanks to Lisa @Tricky.Pockets, Mel @MelT.Stitches and Katie @KatieMakesADress for not only doing a great job sewing but being nothing but fun at our photoshoot!

And so, without further ado – meet the Peppermint Waratah Wrap Dress! 

Our number one complaint is wrap dresses flying open in the wind, leaving you clutching a handful of skirt in your paw to avoid a public indecency offense. We wanted a stylish, well-fitted wrap dress that didn’t leave us fearing a wardrobe malfunction, so we took pencil to paper and drew up our dream dress!

Designed with comfort in mind, this is an essential piece for any capsule collection. With a bodice that promises to strike the perfect balance between fit and ease and a spacious dolman sleeve to allow for unrestricted movement, the Waratah Wrap Dress is a dream to wear. And it goes without saying that this baby has pockets! With pleats on the back and front to offer visual interest and turned-up cuffs on the sleeve there is so much to love. But the most unique design feature of all is the clever waist anchor. A small rectangle of fabric attaches to the under layer of the skirt, which buttons to the waistline on the inside and ensures that no matter how gusty the weather, you’ll always have ultimate coverage.
