Huge thanks to our sewing partners!

Love is in the air with the pretty Peppermint Valentine Ruffle Top! Off the shoulder or on, the Valentine Ruffle Top is a seriously sweet style.

No zips or buttonholes but enough of a creative construction to make it a satisfying sew, it’s the perfect project for an adventurous beginner. From the picnic rug to cutting a rug, this pretty pattern will shimmy its way into your heart.

We were excited to work with Spoonflower’s Essex Linen in Confetti Rainbow Opal A, a print created by Australian surface-pattern designer Lauren Kelly of Thistle and Fox.

We heart our sewing partner, Spoonflower, for helping to make this pattern possible! From fabric to wallpaper to home decor, Spoonflower is one of the largest marketplaces for designs by independent artists from around the world.

They are committed to taking steps to reduce environmental impacts as much as possible, making their products with water-based inks and thoughtfully sourced materials using their innovative, on-demand printing process. Each order is printed in the USA by their team of manufacturing experts, and when you make a purchase, an independent artist earns up to 15 per cent royalties on their design. Pop over to Spoonflower.com for inspiration for your next me-made project.

If one ruffle isn’t enough (of course it’s not!), head on over and check out our other new pattern, the Pasadena Rara Skirt. It pairs perfectly with this top to bring maximum bounce to your flounce!

What our sewing community says

Here at Peppermint, we’re passionate about all things craft, creativity and community!

The strands of Peppermint’s DNA are bonded together with buttons and thread. Since our beginnings in 2008, sustainable fashion, either by brands that are working to bring change to the industry or those made by your own two hands, is at our cotton-loving core. We love the undeniable happiness that is woven through the maker community. It’s a tough old world out there at the moment, and anything that brings joy with a side of kindness and connection (and a new creative endeavour) is a good thing indeed. We ♡ our sewing community and hope you ♡ our sewing patterns!
