If you’re seeking some new pieces for your winter wardrobe and would prefer to do so in a more meaningful way than a visit to the mall, then Under a Tree Clothing Exchange – taking place on Sat, May 4 at Brisbane’s New Farm Primary School – is calling your name. Not only will you enjoy the sustainable and social benefits of a good ole’ clothing swap, but all money raised from the Exchange goes toward saving Cambodian girls from sexual slavery. In the three events they’ve held so far, they’ve raised enough to free 16 girls. If you’re keen to head along, start gathering up all those unworn pieces at the back of your closet and register online here. You’ll not only be saving space in landfill, you could also be saving lives.
