Chic for Charity
Savvy UK stylist Emma Slade-Edmondson yet again demonstrated how to make the most of second-hand clothing at this year’s Oxfam Edit during London Fashion Week.
Using only second-hand clothing from the Oxfam shop at Dalston Kingsland, Emma re-created looks from five shows just moments after they appeared on the catwalk, with top London fashion photographer Rachel Manns on hand to capture the results. Emma’s efforts didn’t just get the nod of approval from four out of the five designers (Mother of Pearl, Sibling, Jasper Conran and Hunter) – they also proved that it’s possible to create a high fashion look for low cost, giving old clothes a new lease of life and supporting the amazing work of charities like Oxfam.
