Want to support this year’s Movember fundraising campaign but not willing (or able) to grow some long, luxurious facial fuzz? The folk at TOMS shoes are supporting the Movember Foundation’s work raising awareness of men’s health issues including testicular cancer, prostate cancer and mental health with their special TOMS + Movember range of classic styles for guys and gals – all embossed with miniature moustaches. As always, for each pair of shoes sold they’ll give another pair to a child in need as part of their ‘one for one’ system – and additionally, a portion of funds from sales will be donated to the cause to assist with their important work in the area of men’s health (to date, the Movember campaign has raised over $550 million USD and funded more than 800 programs globally). Look out for the many Movember events happening around the country, and make sure you either grow your own mo or flaunt one on your feet!

The care of your clothing – washing, drying and ironing – can account for approx 30% of a garment`s total carbon footprint. Hand wash, line dry, wash in cold water, and only wash when necessary.

Mending – and making – slows down fast fashion buying habits. Repairing used to be common practice, until disposable fashion took over. Extending the life of clothing by just nine months can reduce carbon, water, and waste footprints by 20–30%. Fixing doesn`t need to just be utilitarian – get creative with visible mending!

This incredible mini egg embroidered 3D artwork was created by @Emma_Giacalone_Textiles, a textile artist in Gloucestershire, UK.
