The Growing Food Project

growing food project

Food security is one of the great issues of our time, but the solution could be just around the corner – quite literally, if you happen to have a community garden in your neighbourhood! The Growing Food Project is a short documentary exploring Melbourne’s urban agriculture practices and alternative food systems, with a focus on those in the city’s inner north. Since November last year, public health nutritionist and advocate for the People’s Food Plan Rasha Tayeh has been filming at community gardens and local food initiatives in an effort to create support for fair, sustainable and local food systems. Now she needs funds to edit her footage and spread the message – and that’s where you come in. Rasha’s set up a crowdfunding page, so if you can spare some cash and want to help Rasha get her food film out there, get your green thumbs clicking on this link..
