Eco Fashion Week Vancouver

Twice a year the Canadian calendar hosts Eco Fashion Week (EFW) as a way to inform and inspire fashion enthusiasts and the environmentally minded. Opening night of the latest EFW featured local Vancouver designer Nicole Bridger in a unique show involving fashion, art and dance. The next day was dedicated to ‘secondhand challenges,’ with one of the shows inviting stylists to create looks from thrift store, Value Village (a bit like our Salvos!). The third and final day of the eco fashion extravaganza featured three runway shows, involving a range of Canadian designers including Myco Anna, Respecterre and RISE Upcycling. The closing show of the event was Adhesif Clothing, a veteran and local eco label. It was a fitting end for both the week and the label, which is just about to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
