The Green Fashion Duel

Valentino Fashion Duel

Congratulations are in order for Italian fashion house Valentino, which recently topped a Greenpeace green ranking guide rating Italian and French luxury brands. The Greenpeace Fashion Duel, rated 15 brands against each other based on a survey of their global supply chains. At the beginning of November last year, Greenpeace challenged the fashion brands with 25 ‘uncomfortable’ questions, with the information forming the basis of the final results. The aim of the ‘duel’ is to encourage competition between brands in the sustainability stakes, to improve the practices of high end fashion houses and create better environmental outcomes. Valentino has already committed to eliminating all releases of hazardous chemicals and to zero forestation in its products. Find out more about the duel here and see how your favourite brand rated!
