Sew it Forward

Last month, a new needlework initiative was launched in the UK called Sew it Forward. The whole idea behind the initiative is to bring back needlework such as knitting and sewing, through a series of social events where you can get ‘hands on’ and learn how to sew, knit or embroider yourself! Sew it Forward was set up by eco fashionista Zoe Robinson, founder of sustainable style hub The Good Wardrobe. Whilst being a fun series of social activities to learn valuable sewing skills, Sew it Forward is also a refreshing response to our fast fashion culture and actually equips people with the skills to repair, restore and update their existing fashions! Described as a free sewing revolution to extend the life of your wardrobe, here’s hoping a little of this inspiration hits us here at home!
