Off the Kerb - Sharon McKenzie

If you’re a fan of the arts then we sincerely hope you’ve kept your Friday night free! There’s going to be twice the usual opening night fun at Off the Kerb Gallery and Studios in Collingwood this weekend as two new exhibitions hit the walls. There’s Sharon McKenzie’s Re-Boot which takes pre-used materials collected from the roadside and turns them into amazingly intricate upcycled artworks. Also opening is Plonk India, a collaboration between Tessa Moncrieff, Paul Moncrieff and Jillian Green. Bringing together their artistic talents and mutual affection for the country of India, the trio will be raising money for the Akshaya Trust in Madurai, South India – a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping those who struggle with mental illness. Who doesn’t love a double header!
