Made in collaboration with Stitched for Good’s Annie Robinson, the Peppermint Rozelle Slip is a bias-cut beauty – a sophisticated slip dress with wide-set straps to support those whose busty bounty cannot forgo the support of a brassiere. Gathers in the bust and smart darts in the back create a shapely, self-lined bodice, and the bias-cut skirt drapes like a dream – vary the length of your skirt to go from date-night diva to preppy picnic perfection. Just whip up the invisible centre-back zipper and va-va-voom your way to carefree elegance.

I turned 44 this year and sometimes wonder when/if I will change the way that I dress. I saw so many women in Paris wearing biker/moto jackets so I thought I’d try the look on (along with my me-made). I bought one at a charity shop and I’m still not sure if it’s really me. In actual fact I also hated bias-cut skirts and dresses and never thought I’d wear one until I decided to make the #PeppermintRozelleSlip from @PeppermintMagazine and @StitchedForGood. Maybe little tasters of new styles are the way to go 🤔

When I was asked to try this pattern I was very intrigued. I haven’t sewn a slip dress and the style was one I never tried. Challenge accepted🙌🏾! The #PeppermintRozelleSlip dress is a bias cut dress that provides a nice drape. I enjoyed making the pattern. Loved the gathers around the bust and the bias cut!

Loved making this beautiful #PeppermintRozelleSlip pattern up. Fabric came from a friend’s stash and I tweaked the pattern a wee bit. The fabric wasn’t particularly drapey so I didn’t cut it on the bias. I also love pockets so I had to put pockets on each side. The downside was I made the dress too big for me. The upside is I get to thank my lovely friend for sharing some of her stash with me by gifting her the dress. I was so thrilled with the result.
