Founder, publisher and editor-in-chief Kelley Sheenan started Peppermint way back in 2008, when sustainable was still far from becoming a mainstream buzzword. As a former graphic and fashion designer, Kelley decided to bridge the gap between sustainability and style – and now 16 years later, Peppermint is the leading sustainable fashion, sewing and lifestyle platform in Australia and beyond. Still based in beautiful Brisbane, Australia, Peppermint remains successful because of a focus on building an authentically connected community through inspirational storytelling and beautiful imagery.

Kelley combines her editing, design, photography and publishing skills to create every issue of Peppermint. With her keen eye for detail and passion for ethics and sustainability, she’s dedicated to providing a platform of positive, empowering media with purpose.

Combining her love of inspirational storytelling and thoughtful design, Sam oversees all things print and digital at Peppermint. She has worked in publishing as a writer and subeditor for over a decade and is passionate about the intersection of creativity, community and sustainability.

Mandy Borrett

National Advertising Manager

With over a decade of experience in arts and entertainment marketing in Australia and the UK, Mandy proudly looks after our awesome advertisers and partners at Peppermint. She builds strong connections with partners that share our values and works closely with them to bring campaigns to life. Deeply collaborative, kind and warm, Mandy is happiest at the op shop or around a campfire.

Hailing from a long line of sewists and tinkerers, Emma Mulholland dabbles in the dark arts – baking, knitting and foraging – but she’s happiest making magazines. At Peppermint, she files stories, chats with artists and founders, and dreams of owning every piece of screen-printed linen she comes across.

An avid sewist, crafter and all-round creative Laura is our (and your) go-to gal for all things stitchy. With a professional history in cultivating beautifully connected and high performing teams Laura brings together two key strengths in her combined role of People and Culture/Sewing Coordinator.

With a background in communications, retail and art, Kelly is passionate about people and community. She’s our go-to for customer enquiries, subscriptions and partnerships and is always keen for a creative chat!
