World Environment Day Awards 2014

World Environment Day might be a little way off yet, but we’re counting down the days to June 5th! The United Nations Association of Victoria are busily preparing for the annual event too, having just opened entries for their World Environment Day award, which recognises and rewards bright ideas that contribute to a sustainable future for us all. There are awards available in the categories of business, water management, sustainability education and biodiversity, so whether you’re a bright spark, part of a small community team or even a government group, and you have a big idea worth sharing (with the need for some capital to get it rolling), applying for a WEDA might be the kickstart you need. You can read up on last year’s award winners here or lodge your own application on the UNAA website before April 17, 2014. Good luck!
