Sustainable Oscars Fashion

Hot off the heels of the Golden Globes – where actor Bradley Cooper turned heads with an eco-friendly tux – at least one Hollywood starlet will be wearing an eco gown to the Oscars on February 24. Winner of the International Red Carpet, Green Dress competition, Michael Badger will have his winning sustainable dress design worn by Skyfall actress Naomie Harris. As an added bonus, Badger has been paired with Vivienne Westwood as a mentor to help bring the design to life for the big day. This year’s Red Carpet, Green Dress initiative is also being sponsored by Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, which will be certifying the design against environmental and ethical criteria. It’s great to see the red carpet getting greener!
