Fairtrade Fix

Fairtrade Fix

We’re no strangers to curling up with a cup of hot tea on winter nights. And when the temperature rises, it’s a pitcher of grandma’s iced tea that’s our summer saviour. But next time the clock strikes tea time, why not try something a little different? Organic and Fairtrade-certified tea label Nature’s Cuppa have just teamed up with baristas from Eau-de-Vie (recently crowned Australia’s Cocktail Bar of the Year) to perfect a range of summer cocktail recipes made with various herbal and black tea brews. To get you thinking outside the box when it comes to preparing a pot, here’s a recipe for one of their creations, the aptly named Fairtrade Fix which features chilled organic Earl Grey, gin and a hint of minty freshness for good measure! Bottoms up!

You will need:

– 60ml Gin

– 30ml Fresh lime juice

– 20ml Sugar syrup (1:1 water : sugar, dissolve sugar in warm water)

– 8 Mint leaves

– 60ml Nature’s Cuppa Earl Grey (brewed stronger than regular and chilled inΒ fridge)

– 1 Scoop lemon sorbet

Method:

Add the gin, Nature’s Cuppa Earl Grey tea, lime juice, sugar syrup, sorbetΒ and mint to a tall glass and churn together with a spoon. Following this fill theΒ glass with crushed ice and build until the glass is full. Garnish with lemon slicesΒ and a mint sprig.

A toast to the old you πŸ₯‚

We wholeheartedly love this post from the brilliant @EmilyOnLife:

β€œ2026: Reinvent, burn it down, let it go (whatever it is). Year of the Snake it up. Exercise your boundaries, exercise your body, take one teeny step every day towards a life that feels better to be in.

But don’t you dare shit on your old self while you do it.

Hold yourself with reverence and tenderness and respect, because you got you this far. You did your very best with the information and tools you had at the time. You scraped yourself together, you made it work, you survived what felt impossible to survive: again and again and again.

You are perpetually in the process of becoming, whether you can feel it or not, whether or not you add it to your 2026 to-do list.β€œ
