As PepTalks fast approaches (it's happening this Thursday!), we're beyond honoured to share that Songwoman Maroochy Barambah (@TurrbalPeople) – the Songwoman and Law-woman of the Turrbal Tribe who's a renowned member of the performing arts community and a respected Elder in Meanjin – will be performing the Welcome to Country ceremony.⁠

This beautiful and important ceremony is an essential part of PepTalks, an evening filled with meaning – with inspiring speakers, gorgeous snacks made with native ingredients and a celebration of all that’s good in the world. ⁠

It’s the most wonderful time of year – Me Made May! A time when the internet comes together to celebrate the heights of handmade fashion and consider the work that goes into creating a wardrobe’s worth of wears. In the past, we’ve celebrated by interviewing Me-Made May founder @SoZoBlog and setting challenges for you all, but this year we're diving in ourselves! ⁠

With the help of our fabulous friends at @Spoonflower, each member of the Peppermint team chose their favourite fabric to make a riotous rainbow of the #PeppermintSamfordSet (designed in collab with @SewToGrow!). The world’s largest marketplace of independent designs from global artists, Spoonflower has more than one million designs to choose from! So to help us navigate their trove of artistic treasures, we assigned ourselves a colour from the trusty ROYGBIV spectrum to build our look from. We’re over the rainbow about the results! Launched in 2017, we’ve held PepTalks events all over the country to inspire, inform and uplift our amazing community. We’ve heard stories from some of Australia’s most interesting minds, championed local makers and shakers, and brought people together to celebrate all that’s good in the world. ⁠
