WOMADelaide 2013

Feel the earth move in SA this March with WOMADelaide (World of Music, Arts & Dance): one of the nation’s premier outdoor festivals. Commended for The Greener Festival Award in 2012, WOMADelaide features a rich, family-friendly program of music, food, dance, art, workshops, street theatre, kids activities and markets running over four days in Adelaide’s beautiful Botanic Park. This year’s musical line up includes The Herd, Mia Dyson, The Cat Empire, Jimmy Cliff, Tim Rogers, The Tallest Man on Earth and plenty more talented folk, while the Taste the World program gives musicians a chance to swap their instruments for cooking utensils to prepare and share one of their favourite dishes with the audience.

Meanwhile, Planet Talks are a new edition to the WOMADelaide 2013 line up, featuring a diverse program of green-geared discussions with speakers such as Anna Rose, Simon Bryant, Costa Georganis and Paul Ehrlich. Rounding out the program is an Electrolounge and Healing Village, plus a plethora of workshops, kids activities and live entertainment over seven stages around the park.
